Waiheke
A little town called Kawhia a few harbours down from Raglan was where I always liked to spend time when I was growing up. The town is small and quiet and there are natural hot water springs on the beach - all you need to do is dig in the right place and you are toasty and warm no matter what the season. Never did get to see the Orca swimming in the harbour though.

Paris
A fantastic city - so much history and atmosphere. Lovely French people, amazing bicycles, and gargoyles glaring down on you.
Port Douglas Qld Aust.
These beaches are the most beautiful ones that you could imagine - chalk white sand so fine that it squeaks under-foot. Water that is a fantastic green/blue colour and it's so, so clear that you see right down to the bottom as you swim around. Lovely islands to cruise around by ferry and delicious food..... Wonderful destination!!

Oporto and Vila Nova de Gaia - history, port lodges, medieval cobbled alleys, river cruises, nice people and not overly expensive for Europe.
